Looks like icing, tastes like glue

Sep 15, 2008 +

Take a bucketful of fluffy white tile glue...
Add some polished calcutta marble mini tiles...

Sift out threads of tile netting...

Mix well using equal parts elbow grease, determination, and HandyMan talent...

Apply carefully...

And let sit for 24 hours.

Grouting to follow!

  1. It's looking good! My MIL recently had her kitchen professionally renovated and both of you have the same colour palette, but I'd have to say the two are strikingly similar so you guys have honestly done a fantastic job! I'll send photos of her kitchen to your facebook account next time. Good job!

  12. Looks fantastic! I am eagerly awaiting all your "final" pictures with hardware, appliances, curtains, etc.

Question: In one of the pictures it shows the tiles all lying separately... you didn't have to lay them individually, did you?!?

On TV they always show the tiles laid out on some sort of flexible backing so they can put them on in big squares...

  13. Thanks mer!

    Thanks megan!

donna - you'll have to wait just a little while longer for the final pics (will this reno ever end? lol)...hardware and valances go in next Friday finally!

Nope, you're right, the tiles did come in sheets. However, we did have to put in some individual tiles to fill some spaces where the sheets came together. If we had to lay them all individually - I think we wouldn't do it :o\
