No Blogging Mojo

Oct 2, 2008 +

I got nothin'. Maybe its the cold rainy weather we've been having. Or the fact that we've just come off a long kitchen renovation. Whatever it is, lately I haven't thought of anything worthy of writing a post about. I know we'll jump into the next project soon enough, but for now, the blog sits there taunting me... 2 days... 3 days... 4 days pass without a new post.

So, I thought I'd ask you folks to lend me a hand. What keeps you coming back to Rambling Renovators? Is it the Before & After photos? The inspiration pics I post? The boring musings about my life? The documenting of the in-progress, down and dirty, DIY details? What is it? Because I'd like to know... 'coz then, I can write about it if I know you want to read about it. See how easy that works :)

Here's a completely anonymous survey. I would love it if you could fill it out. It would save you from having to read more boring posts like this one ;)

  1. Give it time, you've just come down from a major life event . . . you have to recoup. :)

It's amazing and impressive to me that anyone can sustain blogging and blogging well at all. You are entitled to relax. Don't feel like you have to be Super Blogger every single time. No one expects it.

But don't stop doing it either. : )

  5. Even though our sense of style is completely different, you get excited about a lot of the same things I do when it comes to home decor. Like me, you feel that just because something is functional it doesn't mean it can't be a work of art, too. I also like the before and afters, your enthusiasm and positive attitude, and, yes, your sense of style. :-)

  6. I love your blog b/c it's random, yet deliberate. Organized chaos in the best way. We get glimpses into your personal life, your beautiful renovation, and whatever tickles your fancy. So. I love all your posts =)
    Off to take the survey!

  7. I think it's the same impulse that makes us want to peek into the livingrooms of our neighbours--nothing nefarious--just the chance to glimpse the style and choices of other people, especially people in whom we think we recognize certain shared sensibilities. No one has a foolproof recipe for living a good life, and I think that's why it can be inspiring to see (at least in part) how others choose to navigate their own lives. We like the mix. It's always interesting.
