Have you seen Pantone's Colour of the Year 2011, Honeysuckle, and its choice for Spring 2011 fashion colours?

I'm not as far ahead of the trend like Nicole, but looks like I'm on the right track with the fabrics I've chosen for Chloe's big girl bedroom:

Cool! But chances are by the time the bedroom is actually done (its not even started yet!), these colours may be on their way out.

  1. I just love these colours and I think the fabrics you chose have a timeless quality to them. They're so cute - yet not "baby".

  4. As long as You and Chloe love these colors it doesn't matter if they are "in" or "out" - and the fabrics you have chosen are gorgeous!

recently came across your blog and have to say i LOVE it! you're very talented and love how you combined fabrics!

I love that big floral fabric at the top and how the more femininity are offset by the check and stripe. Love that mustard fabric and the coral ikat. Where did you find them?

I'm a big fan of SR too! can't wait to see the new shows coming in January!

I'm a new kid on the "blog" as well... . here is mine:

  7. Love the fabric choices Jen. I can't wait to see what you come up with. Time wise you have until next spring for it still to be "in" LOL. I love that the colours are muted they are so calming. This will be a room to last Chole a while.

    Take care,
    Lisa

I agree that if you love the fabrics, it shouldn't matter if they are in or out. If you think that in a couple of years, you'll be in there thinking, shoot, this room is SO spring 2011, then maybe reconsider. But I honestly doubt that you will...they DO have a lovely, timeless quality. Can't wait to see what you do in there.

  10. You have such great fabric choices!! The colours you have chosen for your daughters room as almost identical to my own daughters room. However we have not gotten to the end of it and still have a lot more decorating to do.
You have inspired me to have fun with the rest of my fabric choices. I just wish I had access to the great stores you rave about.
Anyways I just wanted to say that you have such a great eye for fabrics. I know who to contact when I need help :)
