Home Sick

Jan 20, 2011

We are in the throes of winter colds & fevers here. Not a good place to be. Add to the mix an almost-two-year-old who missed her mommy and daddy terribly while they were galavanting in New York, and you can understand why I've had an upset little girl literally clinging to my side for the past week. Don't you remember those days when you were a kid? When it seemed your sickness lasted weeks on end and the only things that made you feel better were lying around, watching your favourite cartoons, and mommy tending to you with a bowl of soup and lots of hugs.

Its days like this I just want tuck us into bed with a few of our favourite books. Or, in my case, a few of my favourite blogs. Good thing Apartment Therapy is running their annual The Homies to find the best home design blogs out there.

You can nominate Rambling Renovators, if you like. But really, I think The Homies is a great way to discover some new blogs. Just with this tired mommy needs.

  1. I certainly agree with that. I visited the post just to discover new blogs. It's been pretty helpful.

  6. Hope you all get to feeling better. We actually have it here, too. Unfortunately, I cannot take off work. Here’s hoping we win that $119,000,000 Powerball that my office has all gone in on. I’d never have to worry about sick days again and I would spend all my time with family and renovating homes and furniture (my dream).

    Good Luck Homie :)

Feel better! And don't forget to read a good book in addition to trolling the internets.
