The Toronto Outdoor Art Show is happening this weekend and this is the place to be if you're in the market for original art! This is my absolute favourite art show... there are hundreds of booths and the show takes place at City Hall, a great place to be outside on a summer's day. I've picked up a few things over the years like these oil paintings by Kathleen Weich...
... and this sweet painting of lingerie on a clothesline by Alison McKenna...
There is art and jewellery to fit every budget. They also have a student art section - a great place to scope out undiscovered talent!
We might head over to Kidfest at Centreville on Sunday. We've already been to Centre Island twice this summer and are always willing to go back - its a perfect place to enjoy a picnic, bike rides, and amusement rides (not to mention lazy naps in the grass!). There's also a giant splash pad I keep forgetting about but looks like Sunday will be a perfect time to try it out!
I found out about Kidfest via The Little Paper. If you live in the GTA and have little ones of your own, you MUST subscribe to their weekly Tip Sheet. Its a listing of all the fun things going on in the city for tots & their parents.
What are you up to this weekend? Hope you have a good one!
