Getting Things Done

Oct 29, 2012

Did you have a good weekend? I managed to get a few odds and ends done...

I finally sewed up a pillow. No, we didn't find our sewing machine :( :( :( I borrowed one and unfortunately it just could not compare to the 50 year old workhorse of a machine we lost. But I did learn how to sew button holes! Just don't look too closely at them, m'kay?

I tried to wrangle the 3 year old for some photos for our Christmas card. I'll be ordering them again from Tiny Prints as I have the last three years (you can see our past cards here, here, and here). I'm always really pleased with the quality of Tiny Prints cards. Now if only I could get a suitable photo!

And we managed to get something else done around here. Here's a sneak peek.

How was your weekend?

  1. My 3 year old is at the same stage, funny fake smiles, or won't sit still UNLESS he is standing on top of the couch on one foot doing some sort of modified downward dog...that's when he is all "MOM LOOK AT ME"...maybe I should put that stance on our cards this year!!

  2. great pillow work Jen! I will have to learn how to use the old machine I got from my friend.  Love that picture of Chloe!! Those red shoes remind me of the Wizard of Oz!

gorg glass tiles. ... laundry is almost done!

If I can sew, you can sew Amy! The pillow was super super easy.

Choosing the design is half the fun :)

Yes that would be the laundry room. Finally! Ooh, great idea to include a drawing in the card. You've got me thinking ;)

I'm thinking you + Disqus just don't mix :( Thanks for persisting and commenting Giulia!

Thanks! She is in a huge dress-up phase so getting her into cute outfits isn't too hard these days :)
