Hand-Drawn Wreath Chalkboard Art

by - Thursday, November 15, 2012

I've got chalkboards on the brain. I've had a chalkboard sitting in our front entry for the last two weeks that still says "Trick or Treat" and have been thinking what I want to put on it next. Of course, my brain went off on a tangent and I started thinking about chalkboard art. A few minutes with Photoshop and I put this easy and fun piece of art together:

Forgive the striations on the print. I just printed this on my home printer and my black ink is running low. If I saved the file and had it printed at Staples, it would look nice and crisp. (But I change my mind too frequently about art, so this home made print will do fine!).

If you have Photoshop, you can create your own art using:
- a chalkboard background like this one from Flickr user Karin Dalziel
- this hand drawn wreath download from Besotted Brand
- this free font

Or, if you don't have Photoshop, here are some free downloads for you :) Just click on the photo to download the file. Images are sized to print 8x10.

Oh - and if you're in Canada and have a child that produces 100's of original artworks a day, you might want to pick up the frame I used above from the Presidents Choice decor line at Loblaws/Superstore. Its an art frame and has a slot in the back which makes it easy to slip in and out the latest masterpiece. Genius!
