Quince Bamboo Sheets Review: An Honest Look at Quince Bedding
If you've been hearing a lot about
Quince lately,
I completely understand the curiosity.
As a Canadian, I'd been watching this brand from a distance for a while, seeing my favourite influencers use their products. So when Quince recently launched in Canada, I wasted no time in buying a few clothing pieces like these jeans and this top and being genuinely impressed by the quality for the price. They also carry an extensive home line and I was ready to try their bedding.
I ordered three things: the Bamboo Sheet Set in Queen (Sand), and the Organic Airy Gauze Dream Quilt Set in Mist. You can also purchase just the quilt or the pillow shams separately. After several months of real-world use, here's everything I can tell you.

Why I Decided to Try Quince Bedding
Here's the truth: I'm in perimenopause, which means I've become a serious hot sleeper practically overnight. My husband and I had been using a duvet with a duvet cover for years. It's a system I love and I like being able to just change the cover seasonally, but our all-season duvet insert was feeling too warm and heavy for me, even in the winter.
I needed something that would work better for both of us through temperature
fluctuations I can't always predict. Before I invested in a summer duvet
insert, I thought I would try a quilt or comforter for a change. I wanted
cooler sheets, a lighter quilt, and a bedding refresh for the season.
I'd already tried a few pieces of Quince clothing and was pleased with the quality. When I saw their home line available in Canada, it felt like the right moment to test their bedding too.
The products arrived quickly and were beautifully packaged. Each item came in its own reusable storage bag - a small but thoughtful detail that tells you something about how this brand approaches the full experience.

Quince Bamboo Sheets Review
What the Sheets Feel Like Out of the Box
The first thing you notice when you take the Quince bamboo sheets out of the bag is the softness.Bamboo fabric has a distinct silky feel. It's smooth and fluid, almost like a silky smooth sateen weave, but without feeling slippery. The Sand colour was exactly what I hoped for: a warm, earthy neutral that reads as calm and timeless rather than trendy. It does look slightly warmer than it appears on screen so make note of that.
I washed the sheets in cold water before first use, following the care instructions, and the texture held beautifully through the first wash.
How They Perform for Hot Sleepers
For a hot sleeper managing perimenopause temperature swings, these delivered.Bamboo viscose (sometimes also called bamboo lyocell depending on the processing method) breathes differently than cotton sheets. It doesn't trap heat the same way, and that's exactly what I needed. The queen size bamboo sheet set stayed noticeably cooler through the night, even on warmer nights when I would have been kicking off a traditional duvet.
One Thing Worth Knowing About Bamboo Sheets
Bamboo bed sheets do tend to show body oils and stains a little more visibly than some other fabrics, especially in lighter colours. After several months of use, this is something I've noticed. It's not a dealbreaker as regular washing keeps things looking fresh, but if you're considering white sheets or a very light Sand like ours, it's worth knowing going in.
How Do Quince Bamboo Sheets Compare to Other Brands?
Brooklinen does linen and cotton beautifully, and if you're a cold sleeper or prefer the crispness of cotton percale sheets, their range might suit you better. Compared to Brooklinen sheets, the bamboo sheets from Quince feel softer and cooler. For year-round use as a hot sleeper, the Quince bamboo sheet set is an excellent choice.
Quince bedding also carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification, which means the fabric has been independently tested and confirmed free of harmful substances. It's a good option if you're searching for organic materials and cleaner bedding options.
The Organic Airy Gauze Dream Quilt
First Impressions
The quilt arrived with a noticeable smell. I noticed the quilt and shams were shipped out from India and travelling that distance enclosed in a box, I don't think its unusual for new bedding, especially quilts with any fill, to smell not as fresh.
I always wash bedding before first use, and after a wash it came out
beautifully. Plan ahead though: this quilt took multiple dryer cycles to fully
dry, so give yourself an afternoon or find a commercial sized dryer to use
before you need it on the bed.
The colour Mist is soft, airy, and slightly blue-toned, exactly what I wanted for our bedroom. Paired with the Sand bamboo sheets, it gave the room a completely different feel. Calmer. More serene. The kind of bedroom you actually want to be in at the end of the day.
The honest answer? We had some adjustment nights. One evening it felt too warm; the next, just right. The gauze weave breathes well, but the quilt doesn't have the temperature-regulating qualities of the bamboo sheets beneath it. For warmer months, this quilt would likely be too much.
That said, as a fall-through-spring quilt - especially in a Canadian climate - it performs beautifully. The lightweight loft is lovely. It has that soft, cloud-like quality you want in a quilt without the heaviness of a duvet insert. Our spring temperatures are much colder this year, hovering in the single digits, so we're still using the quilt and will switch it for a lightweight cotton coverlet once summer fully hits.
Best for: Fall, winter, and early spring. Not ideal for hot summer nights.
The shams complete the look, and they make making the bed easy.
Against our heads at night, they were comfortable. They weren't sweaty though they don't offer the same cooling effect as the bamboo sheets. They've held up well through regular washing, and the Mist colour has stayed consistent.
One practical note: gauze can occasionally snag on fingernails, and the open weave isn't ideal if you have pets who share the bed. It's worth being mindful of that if either applies to you.
Here's my honest summary after months of living with all three products.
And the 365-day return policy removes any hesitation I have from trying a new brand. You get a full year to decide whether these sheets are working for you, which is what you hope for with high quality goods sold at a reasonable price.
Will you be giving Quince bedding a try? There is nothing more satisfying than climbing into bed with clean new sheets, don't you agree?

The Quince Bedding Experience
- The bamboo sheets are the clear standout. Cool, soft, and well-priced, they genuinely deliver on the promise of a better sleep experience for hot sleepers, and they hold up well with regular use.
- The gauze quilt is beautiful and seasonally practical. I wouldn't consider it a year-round quilt, but as a transitional layer for fall through spring it's lovely, and the colour options are fabulous.
- The shams are a nice finishing touch, and are comfortable to sleep on
