Tile Carpet Triumph!
Is it possible to fall in love with an inanimate object? Because I do. I LOVE THIS TILE FLOOR! The hard texture of the stone and the heat from the radiant heating underneath...its enough to make this pregnant woman swoon.
The bathroom is looking all schmancy - even better than we expected. The vanity is going back in today. We picked up the door yesterday and just have to prime and paint it, paint the hinges in a nice matte black, and install the door. And then, then, we can do a proper bathroom reveal. I know you've all been waiting patiently for that :)

Your floor is getting lots of "ooohs" and "ahhhs" around our house this morning. Nice work!
ReplyDeletewow!!!! Looks Awesome! I want it!
ReplyDeleteThe first time I stepped barefooted on a warm bathroom floor due to the radiant heat underneath, it literally stopped me in my tracks as I was anticipating a cold floor. The warm floor is great if you have toddlers crawling around on the floor. An added bonus, it will encourage you to get on the floor and do stretching and core exercises so you can feel the warmth. BTW the basketweave design looks stunning!

ReplyDeleteStunning! I'm just speechless. That is rare =)
That floor is beautiful and adding in radiant makes it perfect. It's nice to see classic tile with a decorative touch.

Stunning .
ReplyDeleteWow... what a huge difference it makes just to do some creative work with different tiles instead of using one uniform tile all across the floor.
ReplyDeleteIt looks stunning! And with underfloor heating to boot!
I can't wait for your bathroom reveal...
Even better than Sarah Richardson's designs! It looks amazing! Can't wait to see the rest!

LOVE THIS! Would love folks opinions on radiant floor heating.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you researched it thoroughly before making your decision, though.
Fantastic tile work! My mom and I were at the Home Show this weekend and found ourselves swooning over a similar tile. I might try to get them to install it in the front hall for a great wow factor when you walk in the door.
ReplyDeleteLove how the nursery is coming along. The closets and bench look great.
Take care,
Lisa
I have no words. Completely blown away.

ReplyDeleteYour floor looks Fantastic.
ReplyDeleteYou're about a week or two ahead of me (I'm documenting my reno here: http://thedesignboard.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=290) and using the same products, so I'm living vicariously through your blog as I deal with all the dust and noise at my place.
ReplyDelete"Our" floor looks gorgeous!!!
I'm so with you on this one!
ReplyDeleteDreamy.
ps: so glad to find some new housbloggers to follow. My reno is taking so long that the bloggers I used to follow have all moved on to other, less house-y topics.
That is beautiful! We are still waiting for our radiant floor to be connected, so for now we'll take your word for its swoon-inducing qualities. We, too, are waiting to install the bathroom door which just needs needs its original hardware to be refinished and reinstalled before hanging. It's impossible to call a bathroom done without a door. We'll look forward to your final reveal (even if you will beat us to it).
ReplyDeletenow that is NICE...love it..and ..love your blog btw/
ReplyDeleteThat's quite the stunning basketweave pattern! Our radiant heat went in yesterday so I know exactly what you're talking about...
ReplyDeleteIt really is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI showed it to my carpenter on Friday and said, you see that Joe--that is fabulous. Joe shook his head with a look on his face like he was praying I would never ask him to do that. Kudos as always.
