Sarah's House 4 & HGTV Magazine

Are you a Sarah Richardson fan like me? Well you'll be able to get your fill of her over the next few weeks. Hitting newsstands as we speak is the new HGTV magazine. Sarah's work is featured prominently with her farmhouse showcased in an 8-page spread in the premiere issue.

I loved that farmhouse from Sarah's House season 3. It was so homey and colourful and a masterful blend of antiques and newer furnishings. Sarah kept the farmhouse and now its the perfect country getaway for her young family. Remember how she transformed these rooms?

I would love to be sitting by that grand fireplace right about now! I love how these rooms look lived in and gathered over time. Nothing seems too new even though some of these rooms were recent additions to the farmhouse.

Dealing with new, however, is the dilemma Sarah faces in the upcoming Sarah's House 4 (premieres on Tuesday, Oct.18th at 8pm ET/5pm PT on HGTV Canada). This season, Sarah and design partner-in-crime Tommy Smythe tackle a new builder's home in a subdivision in Georgetown, Ontario. I grew up in Georgetown so I have a soft spot for this series already!

It should be interesting to see how Sarah adds some character and personality to a new build home. I don't want to spoil too much but the house was on the market last spring and you can find photos and details about the house on the realtor listing. Since I know my American friends won't be seeing Sarah's House 4 for a while, here's a couple of pics and a video sneak peek to tide you over until then.

Looks lovely, doesn't it? I adore those swing arm sconces and side tables. I can't wait to see how she pulls everything together!
